Meet our Ross
Ross was dumped outside Limavady and was on the run for 10 days, surviving on sweetcorn pods that were laying in the fields after harvesting. Food stations were set up before being trapped..
Almost Home offered him rescue space, and when one of our volunteers Leah.. heard his story, she opened her heart to him and took the time to allow Ross to decompress and made friends with him.
Ross was such a nervous , frightened boy who was scared everything and everybody including his own shadow, but with time and patience.. Leah had taken him under took her wing.. and each week that past , we seen this beautiful Collie blossom before our eyes.
We are so proud of our volunteers who are committed to our animals.. Ross is now loving life at Almost Home and looks forward to see his favourite friend Leah.
At 2 years old he has lots to catch up on, a great boy he’s still shy but once he trusts you he gives you his all.
Excellent with other dogs we feel a home with another dog may help him settle.
children 14+ and a secure outdoor space is vital.
