Meet Monty!
This handsome hound is on a journey of discovery, learning that the world – and humans – can be kind. Monty arrived in our care a little shy and reserved, he’s around 7 years old, every day he shows us more of his sweet and gentle nature. While he’s still building his confidence around people, Monty really enjoys the company of other dogs. While he could potentially adjust to being an only dog with a very patient owner, it would be preferred for Monty to go to a home with a confident canine companion already in residence, ideally a female, who can show him the ropes and offer him comfort and reassurance.
Monty isn’t suited to a home with children, as their energy and noise can be overwhelming for him. He needs a calm and patient environment where he can continue to build his trust at his own pace. In return, you’ll be rewarded with the quiet joy of seeing Monty slowly come out of his shell and the unwavering loyalty of a truly grateful companion.
